Carbon is an end-to-end revenue management platform (RMP)

As a product designer at Carbon, I was responsible for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups of new product features. My main objective was to design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that met the needs of our customers.

One of my core tasks was to develop wireframes. These were visual representations that outlined the basic structure and layout of the user interface. Wireframes helped to establish the overall flow and functionality of the product, providing a blueprint for further design and development.

Additionally, I worked closely with the head of product to understand the product requirements and user expectations. This collaboration was crucial in ensuring that the design solutions aligned with the overall product vision and goals. By incorporating feedback and iterating on the wireframes, I was able to refine the design concepts and make them more effective.

To bring the design concepts to life, I created prototypes. Prototypes allowed us to test and validate the design ideas before investing significant resources in development. Through user testing and feedback, we could identify potential issues and make necessary improvements early in the design process.

Furthermore, I collaborated closely with the engineering team. This close partnership was vital for understanding the technical feasibility of the design solutions and ensuring a smooth implementation. By working hand in hand, we could address any technical constraints or challenges and find the most suitable design and development approach.

Lastly, I developed high-fidelity mockups, which were detailed visual representations of the final product. These mockups showcased the visual design elements, typography, color schemes, and overall aesthetics of the user interface. They provided a realistic representation of the end product, facilitating better communication among stakeholders and enabling informed design decisions.

Overall, my role as a product designer at Carbon involved collaborating with the head of product and the engineering team to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. By leveraging these design artifacts and working closely with the team, we delivered effective design solutions that met the needs of our users and aligned with the product’s vision.

Onboarding

Unfortunately this was only ever conceptual but it would have been a really useful addition to the Carbon onboarding experience.
