Currently creating UI’s for a multi-award-winning neurodiversity platform

As a product designer at Cognassist, my main responsibility is to ensure the aesthetic appeal and overall usability of the platform. I am involved in designing various components, ranging from onboarding workflows to the assessment process, reports, and the post-assessment experience.

To achieve this, I begin by gathering user research to gain a deep understanding of the needs, preferences, and pain points of our users. This research helps me shape the design decisions and create user-centric experiences. By empathizing with our users, I can ensure that the platform meets their expectations and provides a seamless and engaging experience.

In my role, I work closely with key stakeholders across the business, as well as the product team. This collaboration allows me to align the design strategy with the overall business goals and objectives. By understanding the vision and requirements set by the stakeholders, I can translate their input into effective design solutions.

To visualize and iterate on the design concepts, I utilize Figma to create low-fidelity wireframes. These wireframes serve as a starting point to map out the structure and layout of the platform. They act as a blueprint for the design process, allowing me to refine and iterate on the user experience before moving into high-fidelity designs.

Once the wireframes are validated, I transform them into high-fidelity UI mock-ups and prototypes. This involves incorporating the appropriate visual elements, such as typography, colors, and graphics, to create an aesthetically pleasing interface. High-fidelity mock-ups provide stakeholders with a realistic representation of the final product, allowing for valuable feedback and informed design decisions.

In some cases, prototypes may be necessary to test and validate the design solutions. Prototypes help us understand the flow and interactions within the platform, allowing us to refine the user experience and address any usability issues.

Throughout the design process, I maintain close communication and collaboration with the product team, ensuring that the design aligns with technical feasibility and development constraints. By working hand in hand, we can overcome any challenges and find the best design and development approach.

In summary, as a product designer at Cognassist, my role involves ensuring the aesthetic appeal and overall usability of the platform. By gathering user research, collaborating with stakeholders, and utilizing tools like Figma, I create low-fidelity wireframes and transform them into high-fidelity UI mock-ups and prototypes. This iterative design process enables me to deliver user-centric experiences that meet the needs of our users and align with the company’s vision.
